With the deadline to get down to 53 players looming less than 24 hours from now, it appears as though we have the first cut from the Minnesota Vikings.
Just want to thank the Vikings organization for the two years here very thankful for the fans & great teammates. A lot of memories on this

That's from the account of cornerback/safety Shaun Prater, coming out just a few minutes ago.
Prater spent part of 2013 and all of 2014 with the Vikings. He was originally drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft out of the University of Iowa. In his time with the Vikings, he had one interception.
The Vikings had moved Prater from cornerback to safety, but he didn't see a whole lot of action in 2014, and is one of the odd men out in a suddenly crowded defensive backfield situation for the Vikings.
We wish Shaun Prater the best of luck going forward. The next 24 hours are going to be rough for a lot of players that are currently employed by our favorite football team, as well as players across the National Football League.
