Minnesota Vikings Release Anthony Harris

The action out of Winter Park is coming fast and furious now, and the Vikings continue making moves.

The latest roster casualty is safety Anthony Harris, who the team signed as an undrafted free agent out of the University of Virginia following this year's draft. Harris was a bit of a curious case, as much of the pre-draft hype had him pegged to go as high as the second round of the selection process. But, for whatever reason, he fell out of the draft entirely, and the Vikings made him a priority signing.

Harris was part of a pretty intense competition at the safety spot with players like Antone Exum and Andrew Sendejo, but ultimately wound up losing out. You would have to think that he's a pretty strong practice squad candidate given his level of talent, but we'll have to see if he'll make it that far for the Vikings to make that move.

We're a little more than an hour away from the deadline to get rosters down to 53 players, ladies and gentlemen. We're tracking all of the action for you right here, and you can find our stream with all the moves right here.
