Minnesota Vikings Release Tom Farniok

New, comment
Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

Another cut has come down from Winter Park, and we appear to have an odd man out at the center position.

The team has informed center Tom Farniok that he is going to be released. Farniok signed with the team as an undrafted free agent out of Iowa State following the 2015 NFL Draft. He had a fairly rough preseason, and it isn't known at this point if he's a real candidate for the practice squad.

At the present time, this leaves Zac Kerin on the roster, along with incumbent starter John Sullivan. Sullivan has had some back issues this preseason, and it would stand to reason that the team will apparently keep Kerin around so that they have another player that could potentially play center. Joe Berger could step into that spot as well, but Kerin has played pretty well during the preseason.

The deadline is almost here, ladies and gentlemen, and we're covering all of it for you right here.
