While college football recruiting generally isn't our thing, we do delve into it when it connects to former members of the Minnesota Vikings. Last month, we passed on the news that Antoine Winfield, Jr. had agreed to come to the Twin Cities and play his college football for the hometown Gophers (via our friends at The Daily Gopher), and now we have news of the son of another Vikings' great making his college choice.
Thaddeus Moss, son of former Vikings' wide receiver Randy Moss, has decided that he will be playing his college football at North Carolina State University. The folks at SB Nation's N.C. State blog, Backing the Pack. . .not that Pack, because that would be ridiculous. . .have more on the story from a Wolfpack perspective.
Moss the Younger had, reportedly, narrowed his interest to four schools. . .UCLA, USC, Texas A&M, and N.C. State. He's a 6'4", 240-pound tight end, and was rated as a four-star recruit. He is listed as the #6 tight end in the nation by the folks from Rivals.com.
Congratulations to Thaddeus Moss on making his college selection. And who knows. . .if he plays up to his pedigree, perhaps he'll wind up following his father's footsteps to the Great White North one day after all.
