Following their 20-13 victory over the Green Bay Packers to capture the NFC North division title, the Minnesota Vikings get one more game at their temporary home of TCF Bank Stadium. They will host the Seattle Seahawks on Wild Card Weekend, and now we know when.
The game between the Vikings and the Seahawks will take place on Sunday, 10 January at noon Central time. The game will be broadcast on NBC, so we will get to hear the dulcet tones of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth for a third consecutive week.
The other NFC game on Wild Card Weekend will follow the Vikings/Seahawks game, as the game between the Packers and the Washington Redskins from FedEx Field will kick off at approximately 3:40 PM Central on Sunday. That game will be shown on FOX.
That means that both of the AFC Wild Card games will take place on Saturday. The action will start with the Kansas City Chiefs traveling to take on the Houston Texans, with kickoff scheduled for Saturday, 9 January at 3:35 PM Central. That game will be shown on ESPN. That will be followed up by the Pittsburgh Steelers heading on the road to take on their AFC North rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, at 7:15 PM Central on Saturday. That game will be broadcast on CBS.
There's your schedule for Wild Card Weekend, ladies and gentlemen. Remember, the Vikings are back to that greatest of times for NFL football, noon on Sunday. Hope you'll all be here to enjoy it with us!
