Bridgewater, Smith Stand Out Among Vikings' Pro Bowlers

At the 2016 Pro Bowl in Honolulu, Hawai'i, the Minnesota Vikings had five players involved, and they had mixed results as Team Irvin defeated Team Rice by a score of 49-27.

For Team Rice, running back Adrian Peterson played sparingly and collected just four yards on five carries on the evening. Defensive end Everson Griffen picked up three tackles as well.

On the Team Irvin side, linebacker Anthony Barr and safety Harrison Smith each matched Griffen's total with three tackle each, and Smith collected one of Team Irvin's six interceptions when he picked off Tyrod Taylor midway through the third quarter.

Teddy Bridgewater had a fairly good night as well. He completed six of eight passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns. His scoring throws were a 2-yard completion to Darren Sproles in the second quarter and a beautiful 50-yarder to Allen Robinson in the third quarter. Bridgewater also threw Team Irvin's lone interception of the evening when he was intercepted by rookie Marcus Peters in the first quarter.

Overall, the Vikings' representation made a pretty good showing for themselves in this year's Pro Bowl. Hopefully next year even more members of the purple and gold get named to the Pro Bowl. . .and subsequently have to sit out because they'll have a game the next week.
