New York Giants at Minnesota Vikings: Final Injury Reports

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

It's two days before game time for the Minnesota Vikings, as they prepare to host the New York Giants on Monday Night Football this week at U.S. Bank Stadium. That means the injury reports are coming out today rather than on Friday, and we've finally gotten our hands on those. Let's take a look at the bumps and bruises going into this week's contest. As always, we start with the visiting team.

Yes, the Giants have a whole lot of issues in the secondary right now, to the point where they're apparently either going to bring someone up from the practice squad or play a converted wide receiver at safety if necessary. You would think this would be an advantageous turn for the Minnesota offense, but we'll have to see how it works out.

And now, we move on to the home team.

Minnesota Vikings

Sharrif Floyd DT Knee DNP DNP DNP Out
David Morgan TE Knee DNP DNP DNP Out

Gotta be honest. . .don't think I've ever seen a tooth injury on the injury report before.

Other than Floyd and Morgan, nobody that was listed on the Vikings' injury report over the course of the week received an injury designation for Monday's game, meaning that they're all likely to play. Pruitt should see his first action of the season as the third tight end in Morgan's absence, and Boone should be back to his spot at left guard after leaving Sunday's victory over Carolina with his hip injury.

That's a look at the injury reports for both sides going into Monday night's big game. We'll continue bringing you info on this one right up until kickoff.
