It's another Thirsty Thorsday!

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Thorsday, everyone! Man, another week and a half until Vikings football, but at least we're close to the weekend.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Ted brought us the latest Your Moment of Zim Tzu: Broken Heart of Texas.

Chris posted the Texans version of Vikings Game Ball: Who Gets Your Week 5 Award?

The Minnesota Vikings made Football Outsiders history.

J-Dog posted week 5 snap counts for the Texans @ Vikings.

Ted was on the Jimmy B. and TC Show in Des Moines.

Chris brought you your Minnesota Vikings Power Rankings Roundup: Week 6.

Vikings news from other sources:

From ESPN, Rick Spielman said Adrian Peterson is going to do everything he can to get back.

Football Outsiders says the Vikings have the best playoff and Super Bowl odds, per the Star Tribune.

The Vikings alumni are grateful that U.S. Bank Stadium is a new place to call home.

Randy Moss says the Vikings have to embrace the opportunity for success.

The Vikes defense has turned heads around the NFL.

Around the NFL:

Jamaal Charles says he's "110 percent" (not possible), and expects a bigger role vs. the Raiders, per

From, in addition to being a good quarterback, Carson Wentz is also a great tipper (and a good person).

ESPN ranks the week 6 matchups from best to worst.

We come to today's media selection. On this day in 1980, AC/DC's Back in Black went platinum. Seems like a perfectly good reason to play AC/DC.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door

With that, the beer light is down and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the tiger meat.
