Once again, it’s Saturday, and that means it’s time for college football.

Hey, hey, it’s Saturday, everybody! That means it’s time for college football, and as usual there is plenty of action to keep your eye on from coast to coast.

As far as the local team is concerned, the Minnesota Golden Gophers are coming off of a second consecutive loss, as they fell to the Iowa Hawkeyes in last week’s battle for Floyd of Rosedale. Today, the Gophers take to the road and head to the East Coast. . .because when you think of Big Ten football, you think of the East Coast, right. They’ll be facing the University of Maryland Terrapins in College Park. Minnesota will be without quarterback Mitch Leidner, which is either a good thing or a bad thing depending on who you ask. Kickoff for this one is set for 11 AM Central time, and it will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network. Our friends at The Daily Gopher have all the coverage you’ll need.

If you’re keeping an eye on the five-time, five-time, five-time, five-time, five-time reigning and defending FCS Champions, the North Dakota State University Bison, they will be back at home this afternoon. They will be playing host to the South Dakota State University Jackrabbits in the battle for the Dakota Marker. This one will be broadcast from the FargoDome starting at 2:30 PM Central time, and it will be shown on ESPN3 as well as on NBC affiliates throughout the state of North Dakota.

As far as Top 25 action goes, the big game of the day will be taking place in the Big Ten, and the focus will be on Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin. The 8th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers will be playing host to the #2 team in the nation, the Ohio State Buckeyes. The game will be broadcast on ABC, and will kick off at 7 PM Central time.

There’s another game today that will pit Top 10 teams against each other, and this one is brought to us courtesy of the SEC. Neyland Stadium in Knoxville will be the venue for this one, as the 9th-ranked Tennessee Volunteers will play host to the Alabama Crimson Tide, the #1 team in the country. You can see this one on CBS, and the action will get underway at 2:30 PM Central time.

The SEC is the home of the only other game between teams that are both in the Top 25 for this Saturday. This one will also be happening in prime time, with a 6:00 PM Central time kickoff on ABC. In that matchup, the 22nd-ranked Arkansas Razorbacks will play host to the Ole Miss Rebels, who come into this one ranked #12.

Those are the highlights for today’s college football action, folks. If there are any other games you’re watching or any players you’re keeping an eye on, you can talk about all of it right here with your fellow Minnesota Vikings fans. Enjoy the games, everybody!
