No Vikings football yesterday, but we'll catch up on the rest of the news.

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Monday, everyone! Man, it just wasn't the same without Vikings football this weekend.

A couple of takeaways from football yesterday:

  • At least we got to watch the Packers lose.
  • Seattle got a gift from the refs at the end of their game, that was a horrible no-call.
  • I sure hope we get to see Ponder start next week
  • Gregg Williams still sucks

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Arif posted Podcast Episode 154: Surrender Your Cobra.

Jackson McIntire digs into Diggs' success.

Norv! says Laquon Treadwell will be a factor this season. I'm looking forward to seeing the kid play.

We come to today's media selection. Before this one fades from memory, we should give it one more look. Thanks fil!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door

With that, the beer light is down and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the blood sausage.
