New York Giants at Minnesota Vikings: Game Time, Channel, Radio, Streaming and More

How can you follow along with all of Monday Night’s action from U.S. Bank Stadium?

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

No NFL action for the Minnesota Vikings this Sunday, as they will be playing on Monday Night Football this week against the New York Giants at U.S. Bank Stadium. We’ve got all of the ways that you can follow along with the action from the new home of the purple right here for you, in case you require assistance on how to keep track of all the action.

Television Info

Since this is a Monday Night Football contest, you’re actually going to have to suffer the indignity of tuning your television to ESPN. (It’s okay, you can safely go back to ignoring it when this one is over.) Be sure to check your cable and/or satellite listings to find which channel ESPN is in your area. Kickoff for this one is scheduled for 7:30 PM Central on Monday night. The play-by-play duties for this one will be handled by the team of Sean McDonough, who replaces Mike Tirico in the MNF booth this season, and Jon “THAT GUY! THAT GUY RIGHT THERE!” Gruden.

No coverage map for this week because, hey, if you get ESPN, you get the game! Hooray!

No official update from the folks at Sports on Canadian TV yet, but I’m assuming that our friends north of the border can find this one on TSN.

NFL UK tells us that this week’s game is going to be featured on Sky Sports, specifically on Sky Sports 1. You’ll be staying up late, though. . .or getting up early, I suppose. . .as kickoff for this one is set for 1:30 AM Tuesday morning United Kingdom time.

For our men and women overseas in the Armed Forces, the American Forces Network will be showing this one live as well. The game will be on AFN Sports, and kickoff is scheduled for 0130Z on Tuesday. That means a start time of 0230L on Tuesday for everyone in Central Europe, 0500L Tuesday morning in Afghanistan, and folks in Japan and Korea can have breakfast with the NFL, thanks to a 0930L Tuesday morning kickoff time.

Radio Info

For everyone that’s going to be listening on the radio, you can find an affiliate in your area that’s a part of the Vikings Radio Network. If you do not have an affiliate near you, another alternative would be to check out the TuneIn online radio service.

If you’re going the satellite radio route, you can find the feed from the Vikings Radio Network on Sirius Channel 81 or XM Channel 225. The feed from the Giants’ radio crew can be found on Sirius Channel 83 or XM Channel 226. Westwood One will also be carrying the national feed on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Channel 88 (on both the Sirius and XM sides), and the broadcast will even be available en Español on Channel 157 (on both sides). If you’re using the SiriusXM Online App, the Vikings’ permanent home there is Channel 818.

Referee Info

According to the folks over at Football Zebras, the officiating crew for this week’s contest will be led by Brad Allen. Allen is one of the league’s newer referees, having only been on the job since 2014. The last Vikings’ game he was involved with was last season at TCF Bank Stadium, a 38-17 Vikings’ victory over the Chicago Bears.

Weather Info

Game is indoors, folks. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Vikings had the U.S. Bank Stadium doors open for this one, though. At kickoff time, temperatures will be in the upper 60s, with winds coming from the southeast at around 10 miles an hour. No chance of precip to mess up travels to or from this one.

Streaming Info

With this game being carried by ESPN, you’ll be able to watch it online via the WatchESPN app. For those of us that are overseas, there is also the option of NFL Game Pass.

As far as other streams are concerned, do NOT. . .and I mean not in any way, shape, or form. . .promote illegal streaming sites on The Daily Norseman. Not in the comments, not in the FanPosts, not in the FanShots, not in the Game Thread, not anywhere. Don't even hint at them. Trust me on this. If you're that determined to watch the game via an illegal stream, do a Google search and find it on your own. And feel free to not blame us for any ill effects your computer or device might suffer as a result.

That should be all of the information you need in order to enjoy this evening’s contest between the Minnesota Vikings and the New York Football Giants from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. We’ll have the Game Thread up and ready to go approximately an hour before kickoff, and we hope to see a lot of you folks there for it.
