Here are the ground rules for the Game Threads:

-Thou shalt not link illegal feeds of today's game, or I shall kick thy arse to the curb until the game is over. Do not promote then, do not mention them, do not even hint at them. Thou hast been warned.

-Thou shalt make an attempt to keep the swearing to a minimum. Understandable that it will slip occasionally, but do try to limit it. If you really feel the need to curse, use the spoiler tags to keep it covered up. We'll get the sentiment.

-Thou shalt not feed the trolls. Rather, thou shall simply point them out, and they shall be banished to the fires of Mordor. Or Wisconsin. Whichever we feel is more harsh at the time.

-Thou shalt not engage in racist, sexist, or other such insulting rhetoric. Somebody disagreeing with you does not make them racist or sexist. It means they disagree with you. Talk it out like adults.

-Thou shalt not bait the fans of other teams into trolling.

-Basically, thou shalt not be a jackwagon in the game thread.

Once again, it is time to get ready for Minnesota Vikings football! The NFL's last undefeated team is heading east this week to take on the Philadelphia Eagles, and will be looking to extend their undefeated start for at least another week.

So, how can the Vikings get out of the City of Brotherly Love with their first 6-0 start since 2009?

1) Pressure on Carson Wentz - Thus far, the #2 overall pick is on the short list for the NFL's Rookie of the Year Award, but has been a little less impressive over the Eagles' last two games than he was in their first three. The Eagles have just lost starting right tackle Lane Johnson to a 10-game suspension, and the Washington Redskins took advantage of that last week by bringing pressure from that side to throw Wentz off of his game. With a bye week to prepare for this one, you'd have to think that the Vikings' defense has some tricks up their sleeve for the rookie.

2) Continue diversifying the offense - The Vikings' rushing attack, at least as far as the statistics are concerned, isn't very good. However, over the past few games both Matt Asiata and Jerick McKinnon have made a few things happen. While the focus in this one is going to continue to be on Sam Bradford and his first game against his former team, the key to this one may be how well the Vikings can run the football. With defensive lineman Bennie Logan sitting this one out for the Eagles, the Vikings might be able to make some things happen on the ground this afternoon.

3) Keep winning on special teams - Despite the struggles of Blair Walsh, the Vikings' special teams have played a big role in this team's undefeated start. Both punter Jeff Locke and punt returner Marcus Sherels have gotten their share of the spotlight on special teams, but the third phase of the game really is a team effort, and the Vikings have put their special teams abilities on display so far this season. With this one set to be a windy day at Lincoln Financial Field, an error on special teams could swing this one in one direction or the other. The Vikings need to make sure that they are not the team that makes that error.

We are less than an hour away from kickoff in Philadelphia, folks. As usual, we will have a brand new Open Thread up for you at the start of every quarter, so keep your eyes out for that. In the meantime, enjoy the action and here's hoping that our favorite football team can keep their hot start to the 2016 season alive this afternoon.

SKOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL VIKINGS!!!!
