We’re getting closer to kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field between the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles, folks. Both teams have announced their inactive players, so let’s take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both teams.
Minnesota Vikings
G Willie Beavers
LB Kentrell Brothers
C Nick Easton
DT Sharrif Floyd
TE MyCole Pruitt
WR Laquon Treadwell
WR Jarius Wright
Both Treadwell and Wright were listed on the injury report, so it isn’t terribly surprising to see them inactive for this one. That means the Vikings will be rolling with four receivers today, and that Stefon Diggs is active (and will start). The team has also said that T.J. Clemmings will start at left tackle with Jeremiah Sirles starting at right tackle, meaning new acquisition Jake Long is active today but will not start.
Let’s take a look at the home team.
Philadelphia Eagles
OL Josh Andrews
S Terrence Brooks
G Dillon Gordon
DT Bennie Logan
G Isaac Seumalo
CB C.J. Smith
WR Bryce Treggs
We mentioned Logan potentially missing this one the other day. That’s a pretty significant loss for the Philadelphia defense, as he’s their best run-stopping defensive lineman. Hopefully that can help the Vikings’ run game get going a bit.
That’s who will be sitting this one out for both sides, ladies and gentlemen. Our Open Thread for the first quarter will be up and running at 11 AM Central time, an hour prior to kickoff.
