UPDATE: Sendejo has been downgraded to “out” for the remainder of today’s game.
Stop me if you’ve heard this one, but the Minnesota Vikings have suffered another injury.
This time, it was safety Andrew Sendejo that got bitten by the injury bug. The injury is to his ankle, and while he was carted off the field, he has officially been listed as questionable to return.
The injury occurred on a great play by Sendejo, one that saw him collect his second interception of the season on a pass from Carson Wentz that was deflected by Eric Kendricks. Sendejo returned the pick down to the Philadelphia 2-yard line, but was taken down just short of a score.
Jayron Kearse replaced Sendejo at safety on the next series, and has been in the game in Sendejo’s spot since then.
Sendejo has been having a pretty good season so far this year, following an off-season that saw him sign a contract extension that a lot of folks. . .myself included. . .questioned the wisdom of.
If we get any further word on Sendejo, we will update you right here.
