Happy Monday, everyone. Well, that sucked. I'm not going to harp on the game too much, because you all saw it (or at least the results). The team we saw yesterday is not the 2016 Vikings team, it was a very good team having a very bad day. I'm guessing the coaches will be making adjustments and spending a lot of time figuring out how yesterday happened. An offense that had been making consistent progress took a gigantic step backward yesterday, especially the O line (I have to question the play calling as well. it seems they stepped back from what was working and it bit them).
I'll say the same thing I said last year after the 49ers game. I think the game will serve as a wake-up call, and I'm guessing we'll see an entirely different team take the field next Monday. Also remember, we're 5-1 and leading the division, so don't panic.
Around the DN since our last open thread:

It appears that in order to create cap room, Mike Harris took a paycut.

Chris has your post-game wrap-up.
Vikings news form other sources:

Around the NFL:
You can get all of this week's scores here at NFL.com.
ESPN has the big story for every NFL team.
We come to today's media selection. Here are 3 hours of Nocturnes, that should set the mood about right.
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
With that, the beer light is down and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the Drano. It's about the only thing we have that will get rid of the taste of yesterday's game.
