Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions: Final Injury Reports For Both Teams

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

UPDATE: Adam Schefter is reporting that Stefon Diggs is likely out for tomorrow's game.

Since we're on a short week, we only get about twenty-four hours notice with the final injury reports for this Thursday afternoon's game between the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings at Ford Field. So, without any further ado, let's take a look at both teams, starting with the visitors.

Minnesota Vikings

Player Position Injury Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Status
Sharrif Floyd DT Knee DNP DNP DNP Out
Marcus Sherels CB/PR Rib/Ankle DNP DNP DNP Out
Terence Newman CB Neck DNP DNP DNP Doubtful
Stefon Diggs WR Knee LP DNP DNP Questionable
Eric Kendricks LB Hip LP LP LP Questionable
Captain Munnerlyn CB Ankle LP LP LP Questionable
Harrison Smith S Ankle DNP DNP LP Questionable
Mackensie Alexander CB Shoulder FP FP FP --
Tom Johnson DT Illness DNP LP FP --
Andrew Sendejo S Illness -- DNP FP --

Sherels apparently suffered a rib injury on the fourth quarter on Sunday, and Newman's injury occurred during the game as well, which explains why he only got 22 snaps in the win over Arizona. Of the four players listed as "questionable," Diggs is apparently the most iffy to play. It sounds like folks are leaning towards him being out, but he'll probably be a game-time decision.

And now, on to the home team.

Detroit Lions

Player Position Injury Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Status
Ezekiel Ansah DE Ankle LP LP LP Questionable
Don Carey S Hamstring LP LP LP Questionable
Graham Glasgow OL Ankle LP LP LP Questionable
DeAndre Levy LB Knee LP LP LP Questionable
Theo Riddick RB Ankle LP LP LP Questionable
Khyri Thornton DT Foot LP LP LP Questionable

Well, this is not what we'd call a terribly helpful injury report. There have been reports throughout the week that Levy wasn't going to be playing in this one, so we'll have to see how that shakes out. Ansah has been dinged up all season, but I'd expect that he'd play. Same goes for Riddick.

That's a look at the injury reports before tomorrow's game, ladies and gentlemen. We'll have more for you as we get closer to kickoff.
