Friday in the National Football League is injury report day, and both the Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions have pretty lengthy injury lists going into this weekend's contest at U.S. Bank Stadium. Let's take a look at the reports for both teams, starting with the visitors.

Detroit Lions

Player Position Injury Wednesday Thursday Friday Sunday Status
DeAndre Levy LB Knee/Quad DNP DNP DNP Out
Ezekiel Ansah DE Ankle LP LP LP Questionable
Adairius Barnes CB Hamstring LP LP LP Questionable
Taylor Decker OT Ribs LP LP LP Questionable

Riley Reiff OT Illness DNP DNP DNP Questionable
Theo Riddick RB Ankle LP LP LP Questionable
Darius Slay CB Hamstring LP LP LP Questionable
Marvin Jones WR Foot LP FP FP --
Corey Robinson OT Ankle FP FP FP --

The Lions have some injury issues that could end up being pretty significant, particularly Ansah and Slay. Slay missed last week's game for Detroit, but Ansah has been in the Lions' lineup since Week 6. He doesn't have a sack yet this season. . .of course, he hasn't faced the Vikings' offensive line yet, either.

And now, on to the home team.

Minnesota Vikings

Player Position Injury Wednesday Thursday Friday Sunday Status
Alex Boone G Concussion/Knee/Shoulder DNP DNP DNP Out
Sharrif Floyd DT Knee DNP DNP DNP Out
Eric Kendricks LB Concussion DNP DNP DNP Out
Zac Kerin OL Hand DNP DNP DNP Out
Tom Johnson DT Concussion DNP LP LP Questionable
Jerick McKinnon RB Ankle DNP LP LP Questionable
Andrew Sendejo S Ankle LP LP LP Questionable
Anthony Barr LB Groin LP FP FP --
Audie Cole LB Finger FP FP FP --
Captain Munnerlyn CB Foot LP FP FP --
MyCole Pruitt TE Knee FP FP FP --
Xavier Rhodes CB Calf LP FP FP --
Marcus Sherels CB Wrist LP LP FP --
Jarius Wright WR Ankle FP FP FP --

Man, it would almost have been easier to list which Vikings are healthy at this point. Boone being out is obviously the big one, and I would expect Jeremiah Sirles to plug into his spot at left guard. . .hey, what's another re-shuffling of the offensive line, right? OMG AUDIE COLE will likely take over for Kendricks in the base defense. I don't know what they're going to do in nickel situations, but I'm not sure I want to watch Chad Greenway trying to chase down Theo Riddick all afternoon. McKinnon has said that he expects to play on Sunday, and it appears that Sendejo is on track to play as well, though that could change between now and Sunday afternoon.

That's a look at the final injury reports for both the Minnesota Vikings and the Detroit Lions going into Sunday afternoon's contest at U.S. Bank Stadium. We'll have more on this one leading up to kickoff.
