Hump Daaaayyyyy!

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hey, we've made it half-way through another week. It's all downhill from here to the weekend, and to Sunday's matchup between the Vikings and the Redskins.

Okay, so the election is over. If you want to talk about it, find a political blog, a bar, a cafe, an airport, a public bathroom, or somewhere else and do so at one of those places. DO NOT DO IT HERE. K, thanks.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Arif posted Norse Code Episode 159: The Blair Walsh Question.

Chris gives us a look at the kickers the Vikings are working out.

The Vikings made a couple roster moves yesterday, as they activated Taylor Heinicke and released MyCole Pruitt.

Chris shared a report saying that the Vikings will be sticking with Blair Walsh.

Ted posted Roughing the Podcast 14: The Bubble Burst at the Bank.

Vikings news from elsewhere:

From the Strib, Coach Zim is trying to pull the Vikings out of a tailspin.

From Vikings.com:

The Vikings honored Hubert Humphrey's legacy.

The Vikings showed support and visited veterans at a VA Medical Center.

The Vikings get a "B" grade for the first half of the season.

Anthony Barr talked with Deion Sanders about the skid and how they can get back on track.

Around the rest of the league:

ESPN gives out midseason grades, MVPs, and more for every NFL team.

From Yahoo Sports, Tim Tebow just had a game-winning hit.

We come to today's media selection.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door

With that, the beer light is down and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the headcheese.
