We're less than ninety minutes away from kickoff at Everbank Field, and the Minnesota Vikings and Jacksonville Jaguars have released their inactive lists for this afternoon's matchup. Let's take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both sides, starting with the visitors.
Minnesota Vikings
C Joe Berger
DT Sharrif Floyd
QB Taylor Heinicke
OT Rashod Hill
LB Edmond Robinson
CB Marcus Sherels
S Harrison Smith
Both Sherels and Robinson were downgraded from "questionable" to "out" yesterday. That means we're likely going to see Adam Thielen get an opportunity to redeem himself on punt returns after his fumble against Dallas, but Stefon Diggs could get some opportunities there as well. Nick Easton will get his second consecutive start in Berger's place at center. Anthony Harris will apparently be getting the start in Smith's place. Also, for the first time in his NFL career, defensive end Stephen Weatherly is active.
And now, on to the home team.
Jacksonville Jaguars
QB Brandon Allen
WR Allen Hurns
RB Chris Ivory
C Brandon Linder
OL Jeremiah Poutasi
RB Denard Robinson
S Peyton Thompson
The Jaguars had both defensive end Jared Odrick and tight end Julius Thomas listed as "out" on Friday's injury report, but have since moved both of them to injured reserve, which is why they're not on the inactive list. Ivory's absence means that T.J. Yeldon will be the primary running back for Jacksonville, but he's been banged up as well. Other than that, there aren't any huge surprises on the Jaguars' inactive list.
We will have the Open Thread for the first quarter up and running at 11:00 AM Central time, folks. See you there!
