Good luck to all of you working today, I surely do not envy those of you who have bosses who get on your bad side after a game like that.
Longship Log:
We had coverage for all of last night’s game, including:
- The pregame prediction thread
- The inactives list
- A mid-game update on Sam Bradford
- The game recap
- And the Stock Market Report
There was also the news that Mike Zimmer would be forced to undergo emergency eye surgery that would remove him from his coaching duties tonight.
Around the Horns:
News reports are saying that recently murdered running back Joe McKnight was in discussions with the Vikings for making a return to the NFL.
If Zimmer is unable to fly to next week’s game (due to his eye not being able to handle the pressure changes), there is a plan in place to bus him down to the game in Jacksonville.
Brian Robison should expect an envelope from the league this week.
The hits just keep coming for the Vikings.
Swords from the Opposing Hordes:
The NFL is planning to hire 17 full-time officials. YAY, JUST IN TIME FOR LAST NIGHT’S GAME OH WAIT.
Gronk is going to be undergoing his third back surgery in his NFL career. To say the least, that’s not good.
Sounds likely we will have an offseason of two teams relocating.
Cutty is done for the year.
Allen Barbre might be the one offensive lineman Vikings fans actually like this season.
CBS has announced they will be streaming NFL games.
Minnesota Sports Update:
The Wolves take on the New York Knicks for the second time in three days, this time in New York. The Wolves are hoping they can get a more balanced effort out of the team this time as KAT’s 47 points weren’t enough for the team to scrape out a win at home. Tip-off is at 6:30 p.m. CT.
The Wild travel to Calgary to take on the Flames after dropping a frustrating 4-5 loss to the Canucks on Tuesday. Puck drops at 8:00 p.m. CT.
And for all you fans of volleyball out there, the U of M’s volleyball team starts their march towards an NCAA title today with a home match against North Dakota. Service begins in the general area of 7 p.m. CT.
Nothing we can do about the game last night, just move along and focus on next week.
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

With that, the disco light is down and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your local dolphin brigade, & try the plate-dried spiderweb balls.
