We are rapidly approaching kickoff at Lambeau Field for this Christmas Eve afternoon game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Green Bay Packers. Both teams have released their inactive lists for this afternoon’s game, so let’s take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both sides, starting with the visiting team.
Minnesota Vikings
- G Willie Beavers
- G Brandon Fusco
- QB Taylor Heinicke
- FB Zach Line
- RB Adrian Peterson
- WR Laquon Treadwell
- DE Stephen Weatherly
The offensive line will go with the same configuration they did against Indianapolis last week, with Joe Berger playing in Fusco’s spot at right guard and Nick Easton continuing to start at center. Harrison Smith is active and will take his regular starting spot at safety. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs are active, too, after being listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report.
And now, on to the home team.
Green Bay Packers
- QB Joe Callahan
- WR Randall Cobb
- LB Jayrone Elliott
- CB Josh Hawkins
- OT Kyle Murphy
- RB James Starks
- OL J.C. Tretter
Cobb was listed as questionable on Friday’s injury report, but his being sidelined in an important contest like this one is still a bit surprising. Other than that, however, no huge surprises on the inactive list for Green Bay.
That’s a look at the inactive lists for the Vikings and the Packers this afternoon at Lambeau Field. We’ll have the Open Thread for the first quarter of action up and running at 11:00 AM Central time.
