Happy Wednesday, everyone!
I’m stoked for the game this weekend, I can’t wait to get to Minny. It’s going to be a fun weekend hanging out with old friends, and hopefully I get a chance to meet a few of you from the DN.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Chris asks if the Vikings should bench Bradford on Sunday.
Vikings news from other sources:
High winds damage panels on US Bank Stadium, per Fox Sports. Man, this season is getting more and more like 2010 every day, sheesh.
At the Strib, Andrew Krammer has some more insight/speculation on the Vikings CB miscommunication issues.
From ESPN, the Vikings look for revenge against a flawed Bears team.
Sam Bradford is a finalist for the week 16 FedEx Air Award.
From Lindsey Young, Kevin Warren hosted a Christmas day meal at the U of M Masonic Children’s Hospital.
Here is a game preview of the Bears at Vikings.
Eric Smith says that the Vikings have plenty to play for in the season finale.
Around the rest of the league:
Yahoo Sports looks at 5 potential head coaches for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Cam Newton fullfilled a 10 year old’s Christmas wish and visited him at the hospital.
From NBC Sports/PFT, the Browns waived Jonathan Cooper. Cooper is a guard who was the 7th overall pick of the Cardinals in the 2013 draft, and has gone from the Cardinals to the Patriots to the Browns. Might he be someone the Vikings look at? There has to be a reason he isn’t sticking on a team.
We come to today’s media selection.
Thanks to Birdman84 for the suggestion, perfect.
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the hog maws.
