It’s time for yet another Friday Open Thread, brought to you by the camera wires that stretch across every football field and cause incompletions at the most inopportune times. Camera wires: for when you just can’t go without that last angle.

Longship Log:

We have 5 Good Questions with Big Cat Country, our service provider’s Jacksonville affiliate. They have our side of the questions up as well.

User cwilliams135 has a handy guide for anyone attending the game in Jacksonville.

Chris does the Power Ranking Roundup for the Vikings before the kickoff of Week 14.

Eric shows that he does not apparently understand how a modern-day Twilight Zone is popular. Oh, and makes his usual picks for this week’s games, of course.

Around the Horns:

Sam Neumann pulled out an oldy and goody movie quote for this week’s Bump and Run.

1500ESPN has five of the most interesting Vikings to watch in the season’s final stretch. Vikings fans should not sleep on the Jaguars defense. Stefon Diggs landed on this year’s ESPN Top 25 Under 25; in a move that just about nobody can understand, Danielle Hunter did not.

Marcus Sherels is expected to return for this Sunday’s game against the Jags.

For all you interested, there is such a thing as an ugly Vikings holiday sweater out there.

Cian Fahey’s got a breakdown of what’s gone wrong with Minnesota’s offense.

Swords from the Opposing Hordes:

Tyreek Hill is pretty good at this football thing. Also from last night’s game, Derrick Johnson blew his Achilles and is obviously done for the season. Oh, and Derek Carr had one of the worst games I think I’ve ever seen from a quarterback last night.

Jeff Fisher might be forcing the Rams into firing him despite a reported contract extension between the two parties.

The Chargers are almost certainly moving to Los Angeles.

Minnesota Sports updates:

The T-Wolves continued being the mediocre team that they are by losing 110-124 to the Toronto Raptors. They get zero time to reflect on their loss as they return home for a 7:00 p.m. game tonight against the Detroit Pistons.

The Wild look to keep pace in the Western Conference as they take on the high-flying Oilers tonight at home. The Wild return home after a 2-1-2 roadtrip that sent them to St. Louis before a lengthy trip across Canada. Tonight’s game starts a streak where the Wild play five of their next six games at home. Puck drops at 7:00 CT.

For all you comparing Star Wars v. Star Trek, here’s the way to decide between the two once and for all.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion

-No feeding of the trolls

-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)

-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags

-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment

-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door

With that, the disco light is down and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your local dolphin brigade, & try the twice-eaten Deathsticks.
