One more day to the weekend, spend it here!

Might we see this again next year?
Might we see this again next year?

Happy Thirsty Thorsday, everyone! We're almost to the weekend, hang in there.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Chris looked at the running backs position on our roster.

Eric took a look at the Vikings' worst contract.

Chris checked out running backs who could be potential draft targets.

The Vikings hired a new strength coach.

This is worth putting up one more day. Supavike1 put together an offseason roadmap for the Vikings.

Vikings news from other sources:

Sports Illustrated did an off-season outlook on the Vikings.

From Vikings.com:

Supa! Hurricane! Everyone! The Vikings and Minneapolis neighborhoods agree on an expanded tailgating proposal. This gets me more than a little giddy.

Zimmer, Peterson, and Walsh all made the 'NFL's Most Influential' list.

The local media react after touring U.S. Bank Stadium.

Around the rest of the league:

According to NFL.com, the 2015 Broncos are among the five best defenses of all time.

Greg Jennings said that Ryan Tannehill is not an elite quarterback, per NFL.com. C'mon over to Minnesota, Greg. We have an elite quarterback in the making over here.

Poor Roger, Yahoo Sports reported that Roger Goodell's pay dropped again in 2014. He made only $34.1 milion, I don't know how they expect a guy to make ends meet on that.

With that, we come to today's media selection. Irish Vikings asked yesterday about the greatest 80s rock band. I have to go with these guys, and it's not even close, even though they're much bigger than one decade (Five will be dissapointed that I didn't go with Nelson here. Sorry, Five). Here you go, everyone. Enjoy.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the tiger meat.
