The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine is underway, and with that we have the first "real" version of our 2016 Minnesota Vikings Mock Draft Database. We brought you our Pre-Combine version last week, and now we have the first version with the workout season now officially underway.

As we do most weeks with the Mock Draft Database, we have added more mocks this week. Last week's Pre-Combine version had 30 mocks, and we have increased that to 40 this week. Some of the ones we had last week have updated, some of them haven't, and we have ten additional perspectives in this week's version. So, let's go ahead and get to that now.

(Yes, a lot of the links to Michael Thomas go to guys that aren't the Ohio State wide receiver. Turns out there are, apparently, a lot of guys in college football named Michael Thomas.)

So, how do things break down for this week?

Well, as you probably guessed, the wide receiver position is still the dominant force thus far. Of the 40 selections in this week's Database, 18 of them (45%) have gone to pass catchers. Michael Thomas of Ohio State, who was tied for the overall lead last week, has the top spot all to himself this time around. He now appears in nine mocks (22.5%) to our favorite football team, up from six last week. Three wide receivers from last week. . .Josh Doctson of TCU, Corey Coleman of Baylor, and Tyler Boyd of Pitt, each held steady in their vote totals from last week. Doctson and Coleman each appear three times (7.5%), while Boyd appears once (2.5%). Making his debut this week is the player that, by most counts, is the consensus top wide receiver in this year's class, that being Mississippi wideout Laquon Treadwell. He appears in two mocks in this latest installment of our Database (5%).

Offensive linemen are the next in line on our list, as they make up 12 of the 40 selections this week (30%). We have a tie at the top spot among the offensive lineman, as Cody Whitehair of Kansas State has pulled into a tie with Ohio State offensive tackle Taylor Decker with four selections (10% each). Whitehair gained one selection from last week, while Decker lost one. Michigan State offensive tackle Jack Conklin also increased his share this week, moving from one selection in last week's Database to three in this one (7.5%). We have another debuting player among the defensive linemen, with Indiana offensive tackle Jason Spriggs making his first appearance with one selection (2.5%).

The linebacker position is in third place again this week, with eight overall selections (20%). The majority of those selections again belong to Ohio State's Darron Lee. He moved from six selections last week to seven this week (17.5%), but it was not enough to help him maintain his tie with his Ohio State teammate. A third debuting player in this week's Database is a player I like quite a bit, that being Southern Cal linebacker/safety hybrid Su'a Cravens. Cravens appears once in this week's Database (2.5%).

The other two positions in our Database remain unchanged from last week. Louisville defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins and Clemson cornerback Mackensie Alexander each held steady with one selection (2.5% each).

None of the players from last week's Database dropped out this week.

So, here's how things look in graphic form. Some of the percentage numbers are a bit off in this week's version. . .with a lot of things ending with .5%, some of them got rounded up and some got rounded down. But here's the donut for this week.

Mock Draft Database v1.0 Donut

We will have our first "Jell-o Salad" graph in next week's Database, so that we can finally see what sort of trend is developing among our selectees.

That's our Mock Draft Database for this week, ladies and gentlemen. We will be back with Version 2.0 for 2016 next Saturday.
