Andrew Weber-USA TODAY Sports

Merry Tuesday, everyone! Well, no more news for our Vikings in free agency. I thought we'd be reporting the signing of Andre Smith, but that hasn't happened yet.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Chris has a Vikings free agency tracker where you can keep up on the latest news and info.

The Vikings are still doing fine with the salary cap.

T.J. Clemmings cashed in on performance-based pay for the 2015 season. Before you go crazy, it was based on playing time.

Vikings news from other sources:

Vikings.com reported the signing of safety Michael Griffin. Here are five things to know about the new safety, and a highlight reel of him as well.

Lindsey Young reported that Alex Boone and Tony Sparano are a good pair for the Vikings offensive line.

The Strib reported that the Vikings couldn't get Andre Smith to sign after his visit.

Around the rest of the NFL:

For the first time, the NFL acknowledges a link between football and brain disorders, per NBC News.

The mothership reported that Colin Kaepernick may be heading to Denver, and they may give up a 4th round pick to get him there.

Prom PFT, Jon Gruden says that Carson Wentz is "the most NFL-ready quarterback that we've had in the last couple of years". Thanks to stuman for the heads-up on this article.

Twins update:

The Twins, behind a nice few innings from Milone, defeated the Cardinals 5-3.

With that, we come to today's media selection. Here's a great bit by George Carlin (may he rest in peace), and it's even SFW. Enjoy!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the lutefisk.
