Start your week right! Spend Monday at the open thread.

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Chris is faithfully updating the Minnesota Vikings 2016 Free Agency Tracker.

Chris looked at the Vikings depth chart on offense.

Chris wrote about The Curious Case of Emmanuel Lamur.

Vikings news from elsewhere:

From Vikings.com, history and opportunity topped the long list of reasons Andre Smith had for coming to Minnesota.

Andre Smith said he can make the team better, per Vikings.com.

Around the rest of the NFL:

From NFL.com, Coach Hue Jackson called RGIII a 'tremendous talent'.

Twins update:

The Twins got rained out on Saturday, and they fell to their old nemeses, the hated Yankees on Sunday, 6-4.

With that, we come to today's media selection. Thanks again to southparkskolman for the musical suggestion, here's Trampled by Turtles. Great stuff!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the pickled pigs feet.
