Happy Wednesday, DN faithful! There is not much news out there, I suppose we'll start getting reports from the owners' meeting, which should be riveting.
Here's the NFL off-season schedule for the next month or so.
March 20-23: Annual league meeting, Boca Raton, Florida.
April 4: Clubs that hired a new head coach after the end of the 2015 regular season may begin offseason workout programs.
April 18: Clubs with returning head coaches may begin offseason workout programs.
April 22: Deadline for restricted free agents to sign offer sheets.
Mid-to-late April: 2016 schedule release
April 28-30: 2016 NFL Draft, Chicago.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
A soccer match is going to open U.S. Bank Stadium. I'm biting my tongue.....hard.
Vikings news from other sources:
The Strib posted their way too early projected Vikings offensive depth chart.
Vikings.com posted the owners meeting roundup: day two.
Spielman and Zimmer cover receivers with Florio on PFT Live, from Vikings.com.
Around the NFL:
From Bleacher Report, the NFL passed 7 rule changes, most notably the rule eliminating chop blocks.
The results of a poll showed that NFL executives favor Carson Wentz over Jared Goff.
Twins update:
Mauer went deep (ya' hear that, five?), as did Plouffe, and the pitching handled the rest as the Twins beat the Orioles, 5-1.
With that, we come to today's media selection. I like these guys, so I'll play them again. Thanks again to southparkskolman for the heads up on these guys.
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the pickled pigs feet.
