My apologies for the delay in today's results. . .I don't generally work a whole lot of weekends at the ol' "day job" anymore, but when I do it causes things to be late. That's what we're looking at now (and with this week's installment of the Mock Draft Database, which will be along sometime this afternoon).
In any case, we've now put together the Top 25 of our 2016 Daily Norseman Big Board, and the defensive side of the ball continues to dominate things, as they placed four of the five players in our table this time around.
At the top of the list is yet another Ohio State Buckeye, as cornerback Eli Apple jumped into the #21 spot on our board. His teammate from Ohio State, wide receiver Michael Thomas, slots in at #22 and is the lone offensive player in this group of five players.
In the 23rd spot, we have another member of the Alabama Crimson Tide in defensive tackle A'Shawn Robinson. Behind him is our third member of the Ole Miss Rebels. . .and one of the more polarizing figures in this class. . .in defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche. Nkemdiche was projected to be a fairly high pick late in the college football season, but ran into some off-field issues prior to Mississippi's bowl game and has seen his stock drop a bit.
Rounding out the top 25 is another guy with off-field issues. . .and a guy that used to go to Ohio State. . .in DE/OLB Noah Spence. We'll have a full recap of the Top 25 in the upcoming post for the voting on spots 26-30.
Here is how the voting came out for this go-around:
Our next post will be ready to go at around 1 PM Central time for the next round of voting.
