Happy Thorsday, DN faithful! Another slow news day in the NFL, but we'll trudge through.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
Arif posted Podcast 132: Guestipod with Ben Natan and Ted Nguyen (I got excited for a minute, I thought it was Ted Nugent).
Chris told us that Joe Berger and Linval Joseph made the PFF Top 101 of 2015 list.
Vikings news from other sources:
From Vikings.com:
Coach Zimmer quzzed the media during Vikings film breakdown.
Coach also illustrated the teaching process in the film room.
Per SI, the Panthers will be the Vikings' toughest game in 2016.
The NFL set the date for Super Bowl 52 in Minnesota.
Alan Page held an'elimination of bias' seminar.
Vikings veterans and rookies are working together for the first time this week, per the Strib.
From BenGoessling at ESPN, the Vikings might not be the NFL's youngest anymore, but they think they can still develop.
From NFL.com, Moritz Bohringer got approval for an umlaut on his jersey.
Around the NFL:
Jason Campbell intends to resume his NFL career, and Ricardo Lockette plans to announce the end of his, per NFL.com.
The Jaguars added to an already stacked young defense, as they signed Bjoern Werner to a 1-year deal, from NFL.com.
NFL.com has division breakdowns with 2016 projected starters.
From ESPN, Mel Kiper actually posted a 2017 Big Board. May God have mercy on his soul.
Twins update (if you want one):
Hughes got rocked, and as is expected, the offense did very little, Twins got clobbered, 2-9. Sano hit his fourth home run of the year on his 23rd birthday. The Twins are now behind the Braves, and I get to move the Braves magnet above the Twins magnet on the freezer. HA!
With that, we come to today's media selection. Here's a really cool video of Randy Moss.
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the blood sausage.
