Almost.....to......the weekend.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Merry Thorsday, everyone! We've almost made it through another week of the off-season. But hey, we have some OTA news at least.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

You can check out two new, unique SB nation sites.

Pete Bercich has been hired as a high school football coach.

Mike Zimmer is a top 5 head coachin the USA Today NFL coach rankings.

B.J. Dubose tore his ACL, and will be out the entire 2016 season.

Cool story here, as Teddy Bridgewater went to the birthday party he was invited to by a 7 year old.

Vikings news from elsewhere:

From Vikings.com:

Charles Johnson is healthy and ready to produce.

Michael Griffin is immersed in learning the 'Viking way'.

Hey Five, Blair Walsh was5 for 5 on day 2 of OTAs.

Mike Zimmer and Adrian Peterson addressed the media yesterday, here's a transcript.

CBS Sports likes the addition of Treadwell and O-linemen for Teddy.

Alex Boone was wired for sound, thanks to fil for the heads-up on this one.

From ESPN, Mike Zimmer had to remind the Vikings that last year doesn't matter anymore.

Adrian Peterson gets to work on being a more complete running back for the Vikings, per ESPN.

Peterson hopes to improve from the shotgun, per the Strib.

Around the NFL:

The NFL plans to talk with players named in a PED report (including Clay Matthews) next month, per NFL.com. The report came out in December, and the NFL is going to get around to talking to these guys next month? Wow, they move REALLY fast, don't they?

Will Wes Welker walk away? NFL.com raises the question.

Twins update:

This is not a misprint, the Minnesota Twins.............won a baseball game. Duffey had one rough inning in an otherwise good outing, and (you really won't believe this) Jepsen didn't give up a run and he GOT A SAVE! Nunez, Dozier, ande Sano all homered in the game, and Duffey became the first Twins pitcher to get 2 wins this year.

With that, we come to today's media selection. It's been fun watching some highlight film of our old greats, hasn't it? Here's another!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the tiger meat.
