Time once again for Friday and all the joys that are associated with it.

Longship Log:

B.J. Dubose has torn his ACL and will miss the 2016 season.

Teddy met with the young man that had asked him via Youtube and several other media sites to meet him.

Around the Horns:

Vikings.com: Charles Johnson is finally healthy and ready to produce;  Sports Illustrated is a fan of the Vikings' offseason;  here are a few observations from OTA #3;  a long-time and a new Viking talk about U.S. Bank Stadium;  Alex Boone is a good teacher for the young players on the Vikings offense.

Vikings.com videos: Not sure how many of these have shown up on Brad's article yesterday, but Vikings.com has some good highlight packages from the last few days. They have highlights from OTA #2, an interview with Stefon Diggs, an interview with Cordarrelle Patterson, a highlight package for Trae Waynes, a highlight package for Xavier Rhodes, and an interview with Bucky Brooks who believes that Teddy should be allowed to push the ball down the field more. Alex Boone was wired for sound, Vikings players participated in another spelling bee, here are highlights from OTA #3, and there was a nice interview with Mike Zimmer as well.

Vikings Journal: They have a look at the ways that the Vikings have won games in recent years, as well as news and quotes from the Vikings first OTA.

Vikings Territory: The Question of the Week deals with which player will be a surprise cut.

1500ESPN.com: Judd Zulgad says that Teddy needs to make big strides in order for the Vikings offense to show improvement. There are two podcasts as well, including episode 133 of the Purple Podcast and episode 3 of a new podcast called Case in Point.

Reddit: God our new stadium is sexy as hell. Moritz Börhinger was star-struck in meeting Adrian Peterson. Here's a look at an attempt to compare Teddy Bridgewater and Derek Carr.

Swords from the opposing horde:

There are conflicting reports as to whether Chris Berman is retiring after next season.

The Ravens received their punishment for their reported use of equipment during rookie practices.

Rob Ryan is apparently a delusional madman.

It's been five months since 5 players were accused of HGH use and the NFL hasn't done anything about it.

The Lions have waived TE Tim Wright with an injury designation. Speaking of injuries to Lions players, Ameer Abdullah has had surgery to repair a torn labrum and will likely be out until training camp.

A Koa Misi of the Dolphins is in some hot water with the Miami police after apparently assaulting another clubgoer.

The Associated Press is considering some changes to the All-Pro system after last year.

Minnesota Twins update:

They didn't play last night, but they are playing the Mariners tonight at Safeco. They also get to face King Felix. Wonderful. Game starts at 9:10 CT; I wouldn't recommend staying up too late.

Mostly cause it's fun to watch football players struggle to spell, here's that spelling bee video I linked to upthread.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the disco light is down and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your local police officer, & try the diced chicken legs!
