Lenny Wilf To Fund Event For Veterans And Their Families

This November, for the second year in a row, the Wilf family will be bringing a unique event for American military veterans and their families to the Twin Cities.

Lenny Wilf, the cousin of Zygi and Mark Wilf and a member of the Minnesota Vikings ownership group , has made a commitment to fund the program that will be taking place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in November.

The program is called "No Greater Love Than This" and will feature the Twin Cities-based, internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble, Cantus. The repertoire for the evening will address the subject of war from a soldier's perspective.

"We wanted to tell the stories of the individuals who experienced the war firsthand," said one Cantus member about the performance.

Last year, Lenny Wilf funded another event at the Met entitled "Holding It Down: The Veterans Dream Project" that focused on veterans of color and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The donation given by Wilf will pay for the event, as well as provide over 100 free tickets for local veterans and their families. There will be a post-performance reception for those veterans as well.

We will definitely be keeping tabs on this, as we'd love for some of our veteran readers in the Twin Cities area to be able to experience this performance.
