It's another day, and time for more analysis of the Vikings draft.

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome everyone! Hey, it's a new day, and another day to decide why the draft is going to lead us to Houston and
Super Bowl 51 (Roman Numerals aggravate me, so I don't use them).

Around the DN since our last open thread(s):

Ted posted the post-draft edition of the DN Mailbag.

The Vikings have declined the fifth-year option for Cordarrelle Patterson, to the surprise of...... no one.

They did, however, pick up the fifth-year options for Xavier Rhodes and Sharrif Floyd.

Chris has an UDFA tracker where you can monitor the latest and greatest news about any signings.

Mark gave us his review of the 2016 draft, and believe it or not, posted a 2017 mock. May God have mercy on his soul.

Wludford looks at What's Next for MoBo.

Vikings news from other sources:

From Vikings.com:

Eric Smith rounded up the opinions of draft experts, where the Vikings received mostly As and Bs.

The Vikings agreed to terms with rookie free agents.

Wobby posted the Monday Morning Mailbag.

The Vikings signed 6th round pick, Moritz Boehringer.

Michael Rand at the Strib, says the consensus grade for the Vikings' draft was a B minus.

Around the rest of the NFL:

NFL.com talks about 20 veterans who were hurt by the 2016 NFL Draft.

Connor Barth was cut after the Buccaneers drafted a kicker in the second round, per NFL.com. Hey five, should we sign him?

Also at NFL.com, Chris Culliver was released by the Redskins.

Twins update:

Berrios struggled a little with his control, but overall pitched a nice game, and got his first win as the Twins beat the Astros, 6-2.

With that, we come to today's media selection. Hey, here's another one for the post-draft hysteria.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the pickled northern.
