Horns, Swords and a Longship: June 17, 2016

It's time for another Friday open thread, enjoy your day everybody!

Kneel before Teddy, mortal!
Kneel before Teddy, mortal!
Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

It has begun. The stretch of time before the next football news (the deadest period of the NFL year) officially begins today.

Longship Log:

Jabari Price is working to bring attention to childhood obesity.

Adrian Peterson had a press conference after practice yesterday.

The Vikings have officially released this year's training camp schedule.

The Vikings announced the release of two players yesterday: linebacker Travis Lewis and DT Bruce Gaston.

Around the Horns:

Vikings Territory: Their Question of the Week is up, as is the newest episode of the Purple FTW podcast.

Vikings Journal: Apparently Greg Jennings really wants to play with the Vikings again.

1500ESPN.com: All-Day is "itching" for Super Bowls. T.J. Clemmings, last year's starter at right tackle, is staying busy this offseason in his backup role. Mike Zimmer scrapped the final practice of this year's minicamp after saying he had seen enough. The newest episode of the Purple Podcast has appeared. I'm not sure it's a good or bad thing, but Judd Zulgad says that Zimmer might have good reason to be talking up Cordarrelle Patterson.

No media for today. Keep it real everyone.

I'll add this for Josh, just so people don't get any ideas.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the liver & onions.
