Horns, Swords and a Longship: June 24, 2016

Summer is in session and everyone should enjoy their day.

Well at least I'm looking in the right direction!

Longship Log:

Apparently somebody turned an ambulance into a Vikings-mobile. In other news, I think this vehicle might be related to the Blues Mobile.

A district court judge has sided with the Vikings in their suit against Wells Fargo who were trying to "photobomb" the new Vikings stadium with several large signs on buildings in the vicinity.

Around the Horns:

Vikings Territory: Sam Neumann asked how teams do when they move into new stadiums. The newest episode of the Purple FTW podcast is up.

Vikings Journal: They have an article from PurplePTSD that questions Adrian Peterson's commitment to the game of football (among other things). AJ Mansour asks what it would look like if the NFL were to hold an expansion draft down the line.

Bleacher Report roundup: Kyle Rudolph is apparently one delusional guy. The Vikings' offensive line is learning to work with their new coach, Tony Sparano. The Viking Age has win-loss predictions for this year's Vikings team. EndZoneScore questions whether veteran Joe Berger could be on the bubble this offseason. The Vikings' rookies have stayed incredibly quiet this offseason. Yahoo Sports questions whether Laquon Treadwell will start for the Vikings. Scout.com has five Vikings who could surprise in this upcoming 2016 season. Adrian Peterson has put his house in Texas on the market. Lombardi Avenue ranked the starting running backs in the NFC North.

Football Outsiders has a nice article on the Vikings' offense, definitely worth a read.

Swords from the opposing horde:

Aldon Smith continues to struggle with the law.

Reggie Bush apparently still has fans.

Kurt Cousins is struggling to come to a new deal with the Redskins.

Minnesota Twins update: Just how many games will Jepsen be allowed to blow before they fire his ass? Seriously, he cost them the game yesterday (more or less). Bite it.

No media for now. If you want some, go look some up on Youtube.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the disco light is down and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your local police officer, & try the minced taco shells!
