Longship Log:

The Vikings are finally favored in a majority of their games.

The Vikings' preseason schedule has been finalized.

Around the Horns:

Vikings Journal: Here's a roundtable from PurplePTSD on CP84. They've got updates from around the NFC North OTA's. Joe Oberle wrote about the newest updates from Week 2 of the Vikings' OTA's. They also have a closer look at a specific aspect of Mike Zimmer's defense.

Vikings.com: The Vikings have the fifth-best roster in the NFL according to NFL.com scouts. We've got the Pick-6 mailbag with Wobby. NFL Network asks whether the Vikings have enough for a Super Bowl run? We've got highlights and an interview with Michael Griffin. They also have an interview with Charles Johnson and Teddy Tyme. The Vikings coordinators assessed the competition for many different spots across the roster. Newman's still grinding away in his 14th season. We've also got three observations from the 6th OTA. Danny Hunter is looking for a good second season with the Vikings.

1500ESPN.com: The Vikings Twitter account had a little bit of fun with CP84. Kalil is looking forward to a pivotal season with the Vikings. Star Power podcast episode 26 has some early schedule predictions.

Here's a nice article on why Stefon Diggs' production dropped off in the second half of last season.

Swords from the opposing horde:

Antonio Brown's new nickname to me is Pikachu.

Allen Hurns got PAAAAAIIIIID.

Here's a fun look back through history at some predictions made in 1999 by ESPN.

The always interesting look at how many seasons it has been since a team has had a winning record.

Minnesota Twins update:

The Twins actually manage to hold a lead together and beat the Tampa Bay Rays 6-4. They play the Rays again tonight at 7:10 CT with Ricky Nolasco taking on Jake Odorizzi.

After all that Packer discussion yesterday, I think it's only fair we call the captain A-A-Ron onto the carpet.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the disco light is down and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your local police officer, & try the ground pork belly!
