Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Merry Thirsty Thorsday, everyone! We're one day away from a glorious 3 day weekend (for many of us). I hope you all have a fun weekend planned.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Arif posted Norse Code #138: Grumpy Young Men with Daniel House.

Chris shared a story of Andrew Sendejowhat he did to raise money for the Make A Wish Foundation. Kudos to Andrew!

Cordarrelle Patterson admitted he slacked off and promises to work hard, story shared by Ted.

Vikings news from other sources:

From Vikings.com, the Vikings will honor Sid Hartman by naming the media entrance at the new stadium after him.

Sid Hartman updates us on the plans for the Vikings' Eagan compound.

Over at ESPN, they wonder if Adrian Peterson will lead the league in rushing at the age of 31.

News from around the rest of the NFL:

Andrew Luck signed a massive extension with the Colts, per NFL.com.

NFL.com ranks the top 12 defensive lines in the NFL. You'll find our favorite team on the list.

"A source" tells ESPN that the promise made by Johnny Manziel to go sober after July 1 is sincere. Well, that settles that then.

The NFLPA requested evidence to support the NFL's probe of PED use by four NFL players, including 3 players who played for the Packers last year.

Twins update:

Nolasco was roughed up, and Jepsen continued to pitch like dog s***, and the Twins fell to the White Sox, 6-9.

With that, we come to today's media selection. Finally, I can post this musical classic! I'll post the live version AND the video. You're welcome!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the blood sausage.
