We've nearly survived another week of the off-season.

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Merry Thursday, everyone! Another slow, boring, off-season day. Not much news.....again. But hey, it's almost the weekend and it's supposed to be 95 here today.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Ted brought us an OTA version of Zim-Tzu!

Arif posted Norse Code #135: Plaxico'd, with guest Andrea Hangst.

Anothony Barr is another who expects more from Teddy Bridgewater in 2016.

Rick Spielman is pretty good at drafting, story by Teddy2Mins.

Vikings news from other sources:

Per Fox Sports, mutual respect between Harrison Smith and the Vikings is what led to his deal.

Treadwell is flashing football instincts and Teddy Bridgewater is cutting it loose more, according to the Strib.

From Vikings.com:

According to SI's Doug Farrar, the Vikings are building the NFL's next great defense.

Reconnecting with a position coach is helping rookie defensive end, Denzell Perine.

Craig Peters has 3 observations from the Vikings' 9th OTA practice.

Around the rest of the league:

According to NFL.com, Andrew Luck and the Colts are working toward a blockbuster extension.

ESPN reported that the Broncos offered Von Miller $114 million over 6 years, and Miller turned it down.

Twins update:

Behind the suddenly hot bat of Dozier, and home runs by Mauer, Park, and Plouffe, the Twins beat the Marlins, 7-5. No runs given up by the bullpen. Yes, you read that right.

With that, we come to today's media selection. This one never gets old, here's our week 4 game against the Packers from 2009.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the chitlins.
