It's the weekend boys and girls, so let's enjoy ourselves, huh?
Daily Norseman Round-up:
CCNorseman returns to the front page and creates his own little bit of Vikings history.
The Vikings shuffled their roster slightly before their first practice today.
What's the difference between the PUP list and the NFI list, you may ask? Chris has your answer.
We already have our first instance of Zim Tzu. That was quick!
Around the Web:
Daniel House, one of the best Twitter follows when it comes to training camp, wrote up notes on the first day of Vikings Training Camp.
Vikings Territory (among many others) feels punt returner Marcus Sherels' job will return to him once again at the end of camp. Opportunity awaits Vikings' receivers at this year's training camp, with very little settled about who will be the starters.
1500ESPN has a ton of links, including a feature on new Vikings safety Michael Griffin, an update on the injuries already taking their toll on the Vikings' offensive line, a feature on Alex Boone and what he brings to the table for the Vikings, minor updates (and I mean minor) on the status of Adrian Peterson and Cordarrelle Patterson, news that Adrian Peterson and Randy Moss are among the most hated players in NFL history, and the 142nd episode of the Purple Podcast.
Vikings.com has once again outdone themselves with their camp coverage. They have interviews with Norv Turner, Chad Greenway, Captain Munnerlyn, Jarius Wright, Kyle Rudolph, Blair Walsh, Anthony Barr, Moritz Böhringer, and Mike Zimmer. They also have NFL Network segments from Bucky Brooks about the Vikings' chances in the NFC this year, on how Teddy can improve this season, what new coach Tony Sparano brings to the Vikings, a prediction about Adrian Peterson's success in the upcoming season, what the Vikings are focusing on at training camp, and what Böhringer means to the NFL. Two other videos showcase Denny Green's time with the Vikings at training camp and a video showing the injury to CP84. Finally, they have slow-mo highlights from the first day of training camp. Article-wise, they have the 2016 Vikings roster superlatives, an article about the Vikings' impact on fans from training camp, a warning from Zimmer to rookie Laquon Treadwell, and an article about a new drill Sparano is bringing to the Vikings.
It sounds like the Vikings will be breaking ground on their Eagan property on this upcoming Tuesday, and Roger Goodell will be in attendance.
John Sullivan believes he has nothing left to prove.
Arif's got his own notebook on yesterday's training camp, largely centered around DB's, WR's and QB's.
NFL News:
The Bears waved a rookie punter (the profile info is more important than the Tweet itself) that the Vikings were looking at earlier in the offseason.
Bill Belichick is already praying to Jesus to save him.
The Titans signed WR Andre Johnson.
Tight end Tyler Eifert is all kinds of done with the Pro Bowl.
Darius Slay and the Lions have agreed to a contract extension. I would bet something just a little cheaper than this will be Xavier Rhodes' market so Vikings fans, pay attention!
Minnesota Twins update:
They won on a walk-off walk last night 2-1 against the ChiSox. So that's fun and new. Nolasco had a good outing for once but didn't get a win. They play again today at 6:10 CT, with Tommy Milone pitching for the Twins and Miguel Gonzalez for the Sox.
Star Wars analysis is always welcome in my book. Spoilers are obvious. Enjoy!
Rules are the same as always guys, don't mess it up.
