A little while ago, Vikings beat writer and all around good guy Matt Vensel broke this news:
The #Vikings have signed DT Claudell Louis. Their roster is now full.

With the signing of Louis, the Vikings roster is complete at 90 players. The signing is notable as the team did not bring in a punter to compete with Jeff Locke, which is a bit surprising. Locke has had his struggles during his time in Minnesota, and when the Vikings brought in some UDFA punters during OTA's to look at, it seemed like they were at least open to the idea of getting Locke some competition.
But that is no longer the case.
For Louis, he played his college ball at Fresno State, and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Buffalo Bills, who subsequently released him in June.
I'm a bit puzzled by the move, to be honest, as the Vikings have a fair amount of depth at defensive tackle, and seeing a way forward for Louis is tough. But hey, good luck to the young man, and we'll see what he can do on the practice field.
