Hump Daaaayyyyy!

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Merry Wednesday, everyone! It's a confusing day for me. It feels like Tuesday since it's only the second day I've worked this week, and it feels like Friday since I'm off the rest of the week, but it's actually Wednesday.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Chris shared the story from PFF that the contract the Vikes have with Linval Joseph is one of the best in the NFL.

Chris also shared the news that, yes, the Vikings have bad contracts, too. I assume the picture of Kyle Rudolph at the top of that story is no coincidence.

Vikings news from other sources:

In case you were i a good mood, and just can't stand it anymore, CBS Sports dives into the heartbreak of the Vikings' playoff history.

Craig Peters at Vikings.com takes a look inside Adrian Peterson's gym.

Around the rest of the NFL:

The Lions cut veteran linebacker Stephen Tulloch, per NFL.com.

From NFL.com, Ricardo Lockette is thankful for another chance at life after taking an ugly hit last year.

Twins update:

Milone had a really nice outing, and the resurgent offense put up 11 as the Twins rolled the A's, 11-4.

With that, we come to today's media selection. Well, it's Friday for me, so I'm going to do this to you.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the headcheese.
