Video: C.J. Goes HAM For Ten-Yard Score

NFL: Preseason-Minnesota Vikings at Cincinnati Bengals Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

On Friday night in their preseason win over the Cincinnati Bengals, the Minnesota Vikings scored two offensive touchdowns. One was a long touchdown pass from quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to wide receiver Charles Johnson, and you can see the video of that one in our game recap right here.

The other one came from a player you’ve likely not heard much about. I’m speaking, of course, about the pride of Duluth Denfeld High School and Augustana University, running back C.J. Ham. He put up the Vikings’ final points of the evening with this nifty ten-yard run late in the third quarter.

Ham wound up leading the Vikings in rushing with 35 yards on 12 carries, and the touchdown above was ultimately the difference as Minnesota held on to win by a final score of 17-16.

With Adrian Peterson, Jerick McKinnon, and Matt Asiata pretty firmly entrenched as the Vikings’ top three running backs, Ham is going to have an uphill battle to make the final 53-man roster, but looks like he could be a solid practice squad candidate. He’s going to have to make an impression to get there, and he got off to a pretty decent start on Friday night in Cincinnati.
