Roughing The Podcast, Episode 2

It's our first guest, the Grand Poobah himself, Christopher Gates

It's episode two of the new and improved Roughing The Podcast, and we have our first guest on...none other than DN head blogger Christopher Gates himself. In this episode, Di, Ted, and Fearless Leader discuss:

How DN came to be, from the time Chris started the site in 2006, and what his proudest moment was as DN head dude in charge. From there, we talk Vikings football and training camp.

We start out with a discussion of the early camp injuries to Mike Harris, Adrian Peterson, and Cordarrelle Patterson, and the seriousness of said injuries. After that we walk down the major position battles, starting with backup quarterback, and whether or not the Vikings should look at bringing somebody in. From there, we discuss the struggles of Matt Kalil, and the overall impressions of the offensive line, and what the solution might be if Kalil can't get it done.

We then talk about the decision the Vikings made in not bringing in any competition for P Jeff Locke, and whether we thought that was a good idea or not.

We wrap up Vikings camp talk by hopping over to defense, where we talk about the Danielle Hunter v. Brian Robison battle on the defensive line, whether or not Anthony Harris and/or Jayron Kearse can leapfrog up the depth chart and compete for a starting job opposite Harrison Smith, and we finish by taking a look at the linebacker battles.
