Happy Monday, everyone! I hope you had a great weekend, even if it was too short.
Around the DN since our last open thread:
It appears that Teddy Bridgewater has a sore shoulder, and that's what kept him out of Thursday's game, Chris has all the details.
The DN Fantasy Football sign-up is coming today.
The Vikings signed Brad Sorenson and waived Kevin Monangai over the weekend.
Chris & CCNorseman tell us that U.S. Bank Stadium is pretty loud.
Seth.ackerman.9 gives us an honest review of U.S. Bank Stadium.
The NFL makes significant changes to the injury report rules.
Vikings news from other sources:
Jeff Locke still appears to be in good standing with the coaches, per ESPN. I could have been wrong about him, but it seemed to me like he struggled. We'll see what happens.
From the Strib, Shamar Stephen is showing his worth on the Vikings defensive line.
From Vikings.com:
There are quite a few interviews from yesterday, they talked with Laquon Treadwell, and with Joel Stave, and also Terrence Newman, and Jarius Wright, and also T.J. Clemmings and Andre Smith. The coaches weighed in as well, here's Mike Priefer, and George Edwards, as well as Coach Zimmer.
Around the NFL:
The Broncos signed DT Henry Melton, per NFL.com.
From NFL.com, Jimmy Butler, a basketball player of some kind, says he could be a better wide receiver than Antonio Brown and Demaryius Thomas.
Twins update:
The Twins had a rough weekend in Kansas City, as they were beaten Friday, slaughtered on Saturday (hey, great job on trading Nunez for this pitcher, he's wonderful), and beaten once again yesterday.
We come to today's media selection. I'm pretty sure J-Dog forgot to play the victory song on Friday (I guess I did, too, since I posted the 2nd open thread), so here you go. Better late than never (but never late is better).
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the pickled pigs feet.
