We're open for business, pull up a stool & join in the fun!

Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

Merry Tuesday, everyone! We're in our third week of the preseason, and you can smell real the regular season from here.....or is that me? Sorry, camping food.

Around the DN since our last open thread:

Ted asks you to ask Roughing The Podcast, and their special guest, Matt Vensel from the Star-Tribune.

Chris posted the 2016 Daily Norseman Fantasy League sign-up thread. Go submit for, and vote for, your favorite team names.

Vikings news from other sources:

From the St. Paul Pioneer-Press, Tommy Kramer and Warren Moon gave their thoughts on Teddy Bridgewater.

Wobby opened the Monday Morning Mailbag.

Michelle Tafoya (one of my favorite people in broadcasting) says NBC has the Vikings home opener vs. the Packers circled.

Around the NFL:

Antonio Cromartie signed a one-year deal with the Colts, per

From ESPN, it appears that the QB battle in Denver has taken a turn, as Trevor Siemian will start over Mark Sanchez in the Broncos' third preseason game.

Former Raiders QB, Todd Marinovich, was found naked with marijuana and what appears to be meth, per ESPN.

We come to today's media selection. We haven't done one of these in a while, here's the Vikings-Bengals matchup from week 14 in 2009.

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door

With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the pickled pigs feet.
