Horns, Swords and a Longship: August 26, 2016

Nothing quite like a Friday to wrap up the week.

Let's go cockroaches, what you got?

Man, after that first drive in the Cowboys/Seahawks game I'm surprised this wasn't what happened with Jerruh.

Longship Log:

The Vikings have begun the painful march towards final cuts.

Ears may not be safe staying in the new Vikings stadium.

Good luck finding tickets to the new stadium!

Around the Horns:

The Vikings will be having their first practice inside the new stadium today.

Kalil and Rhodes are likely done for the preseason, according to Andrew Krammer.

Vikings Territory has their Vikings rookie report from Week 2 of the preseason. Zimmer says that AP should be more patient running out of the shotgun.

Vikings Journal has their preview of the Chargers/Vikings game.

Adrian Peterson made the decision not to play in the preseason.

Apparently Shaun Hill has a spin move. And Trae Waynes has been developing nicely this offseason.

Swords from the Opposing Hordes:

Tony Romo was sacked on the Cowboys' first drive yesterday and went down in pain. Apparently he will be fine. But still, yikes. Also, Julio Jones came up limping on a drive yesterday.

The Browns traded their 2013 first-round draft pick Barkevious Mingo to the Patriots.

Apparently a 34-year old man is not as fast as a 23-year old man. Who knew?

The Panthers could be adding Pro Bowl safety Donte Whitner if his tryout goes well.

Likely starting center for the Texans Nick Martin underwent ankle surgery and will miss the 2016 season.

Minnesota Twins updates:

The Twins lost to the Tigers 5-8, making that their seventh loss in a row and eighth in ten games. The Twins will be taking their collapsing team to our neighbors to the North and visit Rodgers Centre and the Blue Jays. First pitch will be at 6:10 CT.

Here's a fun music video that I found on Reddit. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did!

Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:

With that, the disco light is down and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your local dolphin brigade, & try the shredded blanket fleas.
