Hump Daaaayyyyy! Well, I would say happy Wednesday, but it's not really a happy Wednesday for Vikings fans. I know the loss of Teddy is huge, but the season is not lost, as some have suggested. This is still a good young team, with lots of talented players. This team will still be a competitor. I'm REALLY glad the team didn't listen to some fans, and get rid of Adrian Peterson.
Sugarman says Teddy will make a full recovery, and that, for me, is the most important thing. He's a great kid, and seeing someone like him go down is especially heartbreaking. It's good to know he'll be back at full strength, even if it is next year.
So, going forward, do we roll with Hill and Stave, or will Rick be working the phones to try and bring someone in for the season? Anyone coming in wouldn't be starting week 1 anyway, but if they don't think Hill can at least steer the ship, then they'll have to do something. Who do you look at? Hoyer? Vick?
Around the DN since our last open thread:

There really isn't much news around the NFL. If I missed something, let me know.
Twins update:
The Twins continue their march into the depths of the toilet. Albers got roughed up and gave away a lead, which the Twins never got back. Final score was 4-5.
We come to today's media selection. Good suggestion by Fil here, seems fitting.
Again, we all know the rules, but in case someone is new:
-No discussion of politics or religion
-No feeding of the trolls
-Keep the bad language to a minimum (using the spoiler tags, if you must)
-Speaking of which, if discussing a newer show or movie, please use spoiler tags
-No pictures that could potentially get someone fired or in serious trouble at their place of employment
-If you can't disagree in a civil manner, feel free to go away
-While navigating the open thread, just assume it's sarcasm
-This isn't a male version of The View, so leave the gender hatred at the door
With that, the beer light is on and the bar is open. Belly up & tie one on. Don't forget to tip your waitress, & try the chitlins.
