Come Join The Daily Norseman Community!

Bruce Kluckhohn-USA TODAY Sports

In just four days. . .unless, you know, someone decides to use Rust-Oleum on the field at Paul Brown Stadium instead of regular paint. . .the Minnesota Vikings will be playing football for the first time since absolutely nothing (that we want to talk about) happened last January at TCF Bank Stadium. They'll be taking on the Cincinnati Bengals in preseason action this Friday.

It’s entirely possible that you’ve come to this here website wanting to join in the conversation, whether it’s in the daily Open Thread or in the comments section of some of the stories. If that’s the case, let us detail for you how to do that, as well as some of the other places that you can find us on social media.

If you want to sign up to be a part of The Daily Norseman community, the first thing you have to do is click the "Sign Up" link in the upper-right corner of the page.

DN Top Bar

Once you hit that, you'll be able to sign up for the site with your e-mail address or FaceBook account. Make your handle a good one, because you only get to change it once. Like, ever.

Be warned, however. . .once you sign up, you'll have a 24-hour wait before you can actually start posting anything. This is something we've had in place for a while now to keep out spammers. . .and the people who have been here for a while can tell you that, particularly during the season, we know from spammers.

Once you've gotten past that first 24 hours, you'll be able to comment, write FanPost, create FanShots, and be as much of a contributor to the community as you'd like. I would like to reiterate that we are not, presently, looking for more front page contributors, but FanPosts are the next best thing. . .a lot of people see them, and we occasionally move them to the main page.

You can also find us on FaceBook, where our own Skol Girl does an outstanding job keeping things fresh and moving with all the news we post as well as some other random tidbits. DN can also be found on Twitter, which is the main thing that yours truly uses for commentary on game days and for other important things.

So, if you want to get in on the action here at DN before the Vikings take the field for the first time in 2016, come on in and join us!
