We're less than ninety minutes away from the start of the 2016 NFL season, as the Minnesota Vikings are nearly set to do battle against the Tennessee Titans from Nissan Stadium in Nashville. Both of these teams have released their inactive lists for today's contests, so let's take a look at those and see which players will be sitting this one out for both sides.
We start, as always, with the visiting team.
Minnesota Vikings
LB Kentrell Brothers
C Nick Easton
TE MyCole Pruitt
CB Xavier Rhodes
LB Edmond Robinson
OL Jeremiah Sirles
WR Jarius Wright
We reported earlier today that Rhodes had been downgraded to "questionable" on today's injury report, and he is officially out of this one. Trae Waynes will get the start at corner in his place. Wright isn't a huge surprise, given that he didn't do much until the final preseason game.
And now, on to the home team.
Tennessee Titans
TE Jace Amaro
G Josh Kline
CB LeShaun Sims
QB Alex Tanney
G Sebastian Tretola
LB Aaron Wallace
WR Kendall Wright
Wright had been the only name on the Titans' injury report, and he was declared out back on Wednesday. Amaro and Kline are recent acquisition, so their inactivation is no surprise.
There are your inactive lists for this week's contest, ladies and gentlemen. Our Open Thread for this first quarter will drop (as the kids might say) at the top of the 11:00 AM Central time hour. We hope to see you there!
